Mike Snider became the third recipient of International Market Centers' annual Robert H. Spilman Spirit of Excellence Award in a presentation in High Point, N.C., on Dec. 15, according to IMC.

Tom Mitchell, Mike Snider and Bob Maricich, all of International Market Centers, at the awards presentation.
Snider joined the operations department of the International Home Furnishings Center here in 1992. He was promoted to assistant operations manager and in 1995 became director of operations.
He became vice president of operations at Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. in High Point in 1999. During his tenure with MMPI, Snider oversaw the development of the Suites and Market Square and Plaza Suites.
He returned to the IHFC in 2009 as vice president of operations and in 2011 was named vice president operations for International Market Centers in High Point.
"A loyal performer who is customer-service oriented, and an engaged team player who leads by example. Mike's recognition is for each of these criteria and more," said Tom Mitchell, IMC president of home furnishings. "I'd describe that additional quality as ‘He cares.' There's not an exhibitor in High Point who at some point hasn't had an experience with Mike, and I can assure you, as they have all told me personally, ‘that guy did me right.'"
Snider received a silver bowl replica of the Robert H. Spilman Spirit of Excellence Award.
"I couldn't be more proud of the staff and team here in High Point and of the honor of receiving this award," Snider said upon accepting the award.
The annual award is named for the late Robert H. Spilman, who was president and CEO of Bassett Furniture Inds. and in 1985, led the buyout of the IHFC and became its chairman.
